Oil & Vinegar is a culinary giftshop, based on a dutch concept and founded in Holland in the late 1990's by John Blogg and Femke Stevens.
The assortisment is a mix of interesting quality products, such as food products, beautiful ceramics and unique household objects for cooking, from all over the World. The combination of oils, vinegars, dressings, pasta, spices, herbs, olives, cook books, pasta-plate's and much more from countries like Italy, France, Greece, South Africa, Australia and USA, give Oil & Vinegar an incredible and unique assortisment.

The main idea behind the concept is, that these products are to be given as valued and surprising gifts, just as the products appeal to a large group of consumers, who prioritise quality, wellbeing and new innovative products.
Since the opening of the first shops in the late 1990's, Oil & Vinegar has developed into a successfull franchise-chain with approximately 100 shops in 13 different countries in the beginning of 2007. In 2001 Oil & Vinegar won the award as Shop of the Year in Holland, and the unique concept is not seen anywhere else in Holland nor internationally.

The Oil & Vinegar concept rests on the international experience and insight of the employees and those companies, who have invested their future in the brand. Studies have shown, that the segment of gifts in the shape of good food is expected to increase drastically in several countries in the years to come, in lieu of the rising individuality and quality-aware lifestyle among consumers. People wish to be special, and to have this reflected through their looks, opinions and food-culture.

With the many specialities Oil & Vinegar support the consumer's demands of looks, quality, wellbeing and innovation. Although the products are not branded ecologically, the method of production of Oil & Vinegar products are often the same as ecological production, because we highly emphasize the quality. The good start for Oil & Vinegar shows the sustainability of the concept and the ultimate goal for Oil & Vinegar is to become a large international trademark.

There are currently four shops in Denmark, one in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Vejle, and Aalborg, and furthermore it is possible to shop online. Over the next five years Oil & Vinegar plan to open 67-8 new shops in Denmark - all on a franchise basis.
